First Barack Obama took full credit for the “deal” in which he got a deserter by freeing five murdering terrorists who, right now, are perfectly free to move about Qatar, associate themselves with whomever they care to, and may well be plotting new murderous attacks as I type this.
Then, when the depravity of this “deal” became known, and was so bad that even Democrats were attacking it, suddenly the Obama White House told us that it was Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel\’s call. A classic toss under the bus to save Mr. Obama\’s “reputation” (yes, inexplicably he thinks he still has one).
Then we had Chuck Hagel\’s statement, made before the bus-toss, that the final decision was made by President Obama – which put the lie to the Hagel story.
And today we have this, as reported by Justin Sink at thehill.com:
PresidentObama was responsible for the decision to swap five Taliban militantsfor Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the White House said Tuesday.
TheWhite House sought to deflect charges from congressional Republicansthat the administration was trying to pin blame on Defense SecretaryChuck Hagel for the trade.
“Thepresident\’s the commander in chief, and the president\’s the onethat\’s ultimately responsible for making sure that we fulfill thiscommitment that we don\’t leave anybody behind,” White Housespokesman Josh Earnest told reporters.
Lies upon lies. On this, and just about everything else. Without one iota of shame or disgrace.
How in the world can anyone ever believe a word that comes out of this administration?
