Here is the letter California Governor Gavin Newsom just sent to Janisse Quinones and Mark Pastrella, who would bear most local responsibility for the lack of available water to fight the fires that are destroying Los Angeles:
Nice try, Gavin. Nice attempt at ass-covering. But here’s what the people of Los Angeles – and all of California – should be asking:
Where were YOU during this time? You’re the effing GOVERNOR OF THE STATE. And you’re putting 100% of the blame on these two people? Where were YOU when these problems arose, and why didn’t YOU address them BEFORE the fires started doing their irreparable damage?
Gavin Newsom is a slimy political weasel. The Guy Smiley of California politics. Someone who relies on a smile and a nice hairline to somehow convince the SIPS in his state that he’s doing a great job, and the problems that are festering and growing there (a lot more than just the fires) are not his responsibility.
Will the voters of California learn from this? Will they finally wake up?
