AS THEY ATTACK JEFF SESSIONS FOR MEETING WITH THE RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR…

From Kaitlan Collins’ article at dailycaller.com (certainly not from a mainstream media source:

Sergey Kislyak appeared in the White House visitor logs dozens of times when Barack Obama was in office.

The visitor logs, which Obama made public in 2009 in a push for transparency, show that the long-time Russian ambassador to the United States visited the White House at least 22 times between 2009 and 2016.

Kislyak appeared in the logs as recently as September 2016 when he had a meeting scheduled with one of Obama’s senior advisers, John Holdren, in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

Fascinating.  And Ms. Collins’ article goes on to list three other times Ambassador Kislyak visited the White House last year.

How many additional interactions he had with the Obama administration outside of the White House?  We can only guess.

Why were those meetings held?  Certainly Mr. Kislyak knew Barack Obama was an outgoing president, and he would not be there to implement any arrangement, any policy, they could have discussed.

Should we be hauling the now-ex President Obama in front of a committee to explain why his people were in such frequent contact with the Russian Ambassador?  What did they discuss?  Given that President Obama campaigned heavily for Hillary Clinton, was it related to her campaign?

Or should we just understand that, in the normal course of things, administrations – and U.S. Senators like Jeff Sessions – meet with people like Sergey Kislyak?  Should we, therefore, dismiss the witchhunt being conducted against Sessions on the grounds that it is a witchhunt and nothing else – a concocted excercise in whole-cloth weaving?

The answer is obvious – unless you’re a Democrat with an agenda, or a “journalist” in Democrats’ pockets.
