In case you didn\’t already know what Iran has planned for Israel…
…here is another specific declaration from the terrorist lunatics running the country of Iran.
Excerpted from CNN\’s significantly flawed, but at least somewhat accurate report:
A new document by Iran\’s supreme leader calling for the elimination of Israel shows that world powers must not rush into a deal on the country\’s nuclear program despite an upcoming deadline, Israel\’s Prime Minister said Monday.
“There is no moderation in Iran. It is unrepentant, unreformed, it calls for Israel\’s eradication, it promotes international terrorism,” Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement.
“This terrorist regime in Iran must not be allowed to become a nuclear threshold power. And I call on the P5+1 countries — don\’t rush into a deal that would let Iran rush to the bomb.” (The P5+1 refers to the United States, China, Russia, Britain, France and Germany — the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council, plus Germany.)
The Iranian leader made his call for Israel to be “annihilated” on Twitter over the weekend. Mixed in with tweets insisting that Iran is committed to diplomacy on other issues, Khamenei posted a series of tweets slamming Israel. Among them was a document called “9 key questions about elimination of Israel.”
It says the “proper way of eliminating Israel” is for “all the original people of Palestine including Muslims, Christians and Jews wherever they are, whether inside Palestine, in refugee camps in other countries or just anywhere else, take part in a public and organized referendum.” The “Jewish immigrants who have been persuaded into emigration to Palestine do not have the right to take part,” he adds.
There you go.
Iran, after spending years telling us in so many words that it intends to wipe Israel off the map – as it feverishly builds the nuclear weaponry to do so – suddenly we get this. How about a referendum on the issue….but without almost any of the Jewish citizens voting.
But since this kind of referendum is never going to happen, back to Plan A: annihilation.
And, yes, this is the same regime that President Obama is negotiating with; that he is exchanging secret correspondence with; that he is willing to trust enough to cut a deal with.
Is he that blind? That obtuse? That ignorant? Or does he just prefer the shari\’a law mullahs of Iran to our staunch ally Israel? Does he just prefer terrorist Islamics to Jews?
Those are ugly questions. But, based on the actions of this President they have to be asked.
At the beginning of this blog I called the CNN report “significantly flawed”. Here are the two reasons why:
-At one point in the article, it says “Iran supports Hamas, the militant group that controls Gaza. Hamas\’ rival faction, Fatah, controls the West Bank.” In fact, they are not rival factions anymore. They have agreed to a unity government and – at least in public – claim to be one. hamas is fatah, fatah is hamas.
-At another point it says “A June poll by the Washington Institute found that most Palestinians in Gaza oppose a two-state solution and want to work toward abolishing Israel — a goal that is in line with Hamas\’ charter.” In fact, the hamas charter does not call for simply abolishing Israel (which suggests it can be done through diplomatic means). It specifically calls for jihad against Israel and the death of all Jews – both in Israel and everywhere else – as a religious duty.
It would be nice if CNN reported these facts instead of leaving its readers (and, presumably viewers) with a wholly incorrect impression of reality. Too bad it decided not to.
