ARBY\’S, & THE REWARDS OF REFUSING TO SERVE POLICE

Ken Berwitz

From Casey Harper\’s article at dailycaller.com:

The Arby\’s employeewho was suspended nearly two weeks ago for allegedly refusing to serve a policeofficer is still getting a paycheck from the company, more than two weeks afterthe incident.

A spokesman for Arby\’stold The Daily Caller News Foundation that the company and the employee,Kenneth Davenport, 19, mutually agreed that the he would go on temporarypaid leave

Translation:  An Arby\’s employee tells police he will not serve them because they are police, and his punishment is…

…a paid vacation.

I do not patronize Arby\’s, so it won\’t mean anything when I tell you that I will never go into one again.

But I hope people who do patronize Arby\’s feel the same way.  Lots of them.

One other thing:  the employee, kenneth davenport, is 19 years old and Black.  What do you think Arby\’s would have done if a 19 year old Black person drove up to its take-out window and was refused service?

Do you think that employee would get a paid vacation?
