ANOTHER REASON COPS CAN\’T STAND DE BLASIO

In case anyone is left who doesn\’t know why cops can\’t stand de blasio, we have this, excerpted from article Jamie Schram\’s article in the New York Post:

AManhattan judge known for being tough on criminals has been bootedfrom the bench by Mayor Bill de Blasio – even against the adviceof his own vetting team, law enforcement sources told The Post onTuesday.

Themove comes on the heels of de Blasio\’s reappointment of BrooklynJudge Laura Johnson, who set free without bail two men who threatenedto kill cops just days after a double police assassination.

Thebooted judge, Diana Boyar, “was fair, knowledgeable and ran thecourtroom professionally,” a stunned source said.

Suppose you\’re a member of the NYPD. You find out Mayor de blasio re-appointed laura Johnson a week after she released two “men” who overtly threatened the lives of NYPD officers, without any bail at all.  And then you find out he removed a judge with a rep for being tough on people like the “men” johnson released.  What do you think of Mayor de blasio?

We both know the answer.

Can you blame cops for wanting no part of de blasio?  I can\’t.

And can you blame cops for being infuriated by the fact that – based on checking the first three pages of google for each story – the New York Times, whose editorial board members treat de blasio like they\’re ready to pick out furniture with him, has not bothered to report either laura johnson\’s reappointment or Diana Boyar\’s removal?

Evidently in the rarefied world of Timesiana, editorials which viciously attack the police for disliking de blasio make sense, but reporting on the significant reasons for their dislike does not.

I\’d say shame on the Times, but why bother?  The Times seems to revel in shame.
