Diana DeGette, of Colorado, has been a steadfast Democrat member of the House of Representatives for 15 terms.
But there won’t be a 16th term. Not because Ms. DeGette has retired, but because she has been defeated in yesterday’s primary …by melat kiros; another U.S. hating, Israel hating socialist Democrat like the ones who defeated Democrat incumbents in New York City last month.
The Democrat Party, again, sinks further into over-the-top left the socialist hole, further and further from anything even remotely resembling the mainstream.
And how does House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, more and more desperate to hold his position, react to this?
According to Victor Nava’s article for the New York Post, and CBS News, he is blaming it on….incredibly….Donald Trump:
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) told reporters Monday that DeGette was “forcefully making her case” for re-election while cautioning, “We’ll see what happens.”
Jeffries went on to blame President Trump for the “unsettled electoral environment” wreaking havoc on incumbent Democrats, according to CBS News.
With Trump being in office, “It’s not a surprise that there are highly competitive primaries in deep blue parts of the country that are also unfolding this cycle,” the Brooklyn Democrat said.
Yep, there you go. Democrats’ descent into socialism is because of the guy they regularly call a right wing lunatic.
Is this really the future of the Democrat Party? Based on what has happened in Democrat primary after Democrat primary this year, it is a question that cannot be dismissed.
So how do moderate Democrats – the ones being left in the dust – going to react to this? How about the Israel supporting Democrats – however many of them still exist?
And how does this affect Democrat voters, who now have to either face, or ignore, what their party has become? What will they do? How will they vote? Will they play lets-pretend like Hakeem Jeffries, and ignore what is in front of their eyes?
We’ll find out in November. And what might happen then frankly scares the hell out of me.
