ANOTHER CALIFORNIA SOCIAL SERVICES FRAUD – WITH MAYOR KAREN BASS THE KEY FIGURE

Karen Bass, who, as the leftist Mayor of Los Angeles, has allowed this once-great, once-iconic city to fall so completely, is running for re-election.

And, in case you have not yet noticed what has happened to Los Angeles during the Bass years, Victoria Taft, writing for pjmedia.com, has just released an article uncovering still another scandal there – one which Bass is intimately involved with.

Here is how it begins:

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) laundered more than $75 million for charlatans, cheaters, and thieves, at least one of whom used more than $1 million of the more than $110 million in homeless funds he received to open a nightclub.

And it’s no wonder that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who’s running for reelection, smelled trouble and quit her membership in and control over LAHSA before the feds announced indictments on Wednesday.

The article goes on to detail the indictments, indicate where at least some of the stolen money went/was used for, and again reminds us of how involved Mayor Karen Bass was in this organization — until a couple of days before the roof fell in.

Does she really think that bugging out as the feds move in separates her from what happened at LAHSA?  Absolves her?  Keeps her a viable candidate for re-election as Mayor?

In order, the answers to those questions are no, but it doesn’t mean LA voters won’t voter her back into office, no, but it also doesn’t mean LA voters won’t voter her back in office, and yes, in what’s left of LA, a gross incompetent who is overseeing the destruction of the city can certainly win re-election there, as long as she continues to hang reliably leftward.

In fact, Bass’s most serious competition, LA Councilperson Nithya Raman, is even further to the left than Bass is.

So there you have it.  Today’s Los Angeles in a nutshell (maybe the right way to say that is Today’s LA is nuts hell).

Enjoy the downward ride, LA.  And always remember, you get what you vote for.
