AND THEN THERE WERE THE SPECIFIC ISSUES

My last blog talked about issues in general terms.  But let me add a few specifics in this one:

-Inflation:  does anyone doubt that the inflation which hit us had an effect on voting?  We’re talking about the inflation Democrats told us was “down” when, in fact, it was not down from where Trump left it (1.4% in his last month) but down from the mind-blowing 9.1% it soared to under Biden/Harris.

-Illegal immigration:  does anyone doubt that the millions and millions of illegal immigrants allowed to cross our border under Biden/Harris had an effect on voting?  The enormous resources expended to place them around the country (how Trump is going to deport these people is beyond me)?  The growing  gang threat, drug cartel threat/fentanyl scourge, the hundreds of thousands of children who have been brought in and have disappeared to god only knows where or what?

-Wokeism:  does anyone doubt that Democrat support for DEI, for transgender surgery for minors (with or without parental consent), for trans men competing in women’s sports, etc. had an effect on voting?

I could go on.  But you get the idea.

And – again – it is a massive rebuke to the so-called “leaders” who have led the Democrat Party to this electoral devastation.

I assume that, for the good of their party, the Nancy Pelosi/Hillary Clinton/Chuck Schumer/Adam Schiff/Elizabeth Warren/Jamie Raskin/etc. crowd will – MUST – be replaced by other leaders with a better handle on what this country is and what it is comfortable with (I’m assuming that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are already in the nearest garbage pail).

Because, if not, things aren’t likely to get any better for Democrats in 2026.
