Is any part of Tim Walz’s Democrat-supplied biography true?
In addition to Walz lying about his rank in the National Guard, the nature of his military service, his DUI arrest, etc. etc. etc., we now have this, via Paulina Dedaj’s article for the New York Post:
“In Minnesota, we trust a coach who turned a team that was 0-27 into state champions,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) said in her speech on the third night of the DNC.
However, some on social media couldn’t help but point out that Walz only served as an assistant coach while at Mankato.
“Amy Klobuchar introduces Timothy Walz as a coach who ‘turned’ a team ‘into state champions,’” one person said in a post on X. “He was NEVER a head coach. He didn’t ‘turn’ anyone into state champions.”
“He was the Assistant Coach not the Coach,” Richard Grenell, former US ambassador to Germany, said on X.
“Still really, really confused about why they keep pushing the ‘Coach Walz’ thing from a million years ago when Tim Walz was a volunteer assistant coach…why not focus on his Governorship…?…no…they just want to focus on Coach Walz…it’s strange,” another person wrote.
Here’s a question for you: all the times that Walz’s “coaching record” – the one he didn’t have – was mentioned in his presence, how many times did Walz say “Actually I was the assistant coach. The credit goes to Head Coach Rick Sutton”.
Try and find any time he corrected the record and said that. If you do you’ll have better luck than me, because I certainly can’t.
Maybe, instead of glorifying Tim Walz’s time as an assistant coach by giving him credit for what the head coach accomplished, a few of these folks should be asking why he made 30 – that’s right, 30 – individual trips to China over the years, and why China was so wonderful to him that he and his wife honeymooned there.
Then let’s see what lies he comes up with for that one. And how many so-called neutral media venues report on those lies, instead of running cover for him. Again.
