Yesterday I skewered Florida\’s Republican Governor Rick Scott, for making a big deal out of the fact that his opponent, Republican/then Independent/now Democrat Charlie Crist had a fan at his podium. I suggested that Scott should never have made a big deal out of it, and that his silly, petulant reaction to this next-to-nothing breach of the rules would hurt him among voters.
I\’m still suspecting that it will. But I\’m not as sure now as I was then.
Watch this video of Scott discussing what happened at the beginning of the debate – which is significantly different from what I was led to believe yesterday.
Now, the issue is whether Floridians will learn about this and believe it.
Politics: what a wonderful business it is.
One other thing: Could Wolf Blitzer\’s bias in favor of Crist possibly be more obvious? He used to be a reporter, not a partisan propagandist. But those days are long, long gone.
