Apropos of nothing political…
Are you one of those people who won\’t get your hands wet washing dishes, and puts everything in the dishwasher?
If so, this tip probably won\’t do you much good.
But if you are like me, and have no problem at all hand-washing dishes and glasses (regular, beer or wine), you\’ll love it.
Other than basic stuff (a sponge, a “scruffy”, that kind of thing) the single must useful item I have ever found for the kitchen is…..
….a toothbrush.
That\’s right, a toothbrush.
Personally, I use two:
-One I leave straight. It fits in tight crevices, down the sides of glasses. in the ridges and grooves you find in serving items, between fork tines, and more.
-The other I bend, so that the head of the brush is sideways to the handle (you do that by running hot water on the thin area most toothbrushes have directly below the head. You\’ll be amazed at how quickly it softens and can be bent – then strengthens back up when it\’s not hot anymore). I use it mostly for the bottom of glasses, but, like it\’s straight brother, it has plenty of additional versatility as well, both in the kitchen and elsewhere (try it on grout).
Ok, there\’s my tip. Feel free to pass it along.
Just one caveat: NO USED TOOTHBRUSHES. That, would be disgusting.
Speaking of disgusting, now we\’re going back to politics.
