So I\’m driving home from Long Island.
I am on Route 135 north, heading towards the Long Island Expressway – which will take me into Manhattan, out the other side, into New Jersey and, eventually, home.
Just before exit 9, there are two speed limit signs, placed next to each other. They are maybe a foot apart.
One says that the speed limit is 55 miles an hour.The other says that the speed limit is 40 miles an hour.
My question: should I be obeying the 55 mile an hour speed limit or the 40 mile an hour speed limit?
Anyone have a clue?
