Gavin Newsom, the former Mayor of San Francisco, current Governor of California, and potential 2024 Democrat alternative to Joe Biden, is hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in San Francisco this coming week.
One of the participants in that meeting will be Chinese “President” xi jinping, whom Newsom meet with in Beijing last month.
As you may be aware, Newsom is busily “cleaning up” the streets near these APEC meetings – i.e. rousting the homeless camps that predominate there and many other areas of San Francisco, which have contributed so much to the devolution of this city from a world class tourist destination to a world class garbage dump.
Why? So jinping and the other APEC members won’t see them, and might be fooled into believing they don’t exist (as if that could possibly happen).
This being the case, it occurred to me that, in the absence of these camps, maybe Governor Newsom will need something else of note to show jinping and the other APEC participants.
So, in the spirit of offering an interesting alternative, I am suggesting Newsom use this map for a tour of the city:
There you are, Gavin.
Instead of showing them the homeless, indigent people – many of them, no doubt, illegals (since you proudly declared San Francisco a “sanctuary city”), along with the drug paraphernalia and human feces they fill the streets with, you can show them all the store closings that your policies as Mayor, then Governor, have generated…with more sure to come.
