A CLASSIC POT AND KETTLE SITUATON

Ken Berwitz

Remember when mom or dad explained to what it meant to say the pot called the kettle black?

Aside from the fact it means you\’re somewhere near as old as I am (too bad for you), I am posting this to show you that its meaning is still alive and well.

Excerpted from Jeremy Diamond\’s article at CNN.com:

Donald Trump said Wednesday he was shocked to see HillaryClinton\’s latest hairdo, calling it “massive” in aninterview on conservative talk radio.

Asked by host Mark Levin what Clinton\’s appeal to voters is,Trump simply said: “Well, she has a new hairdo, did you notice thattoday?”

The quip prompted Levin to suggest Clinton is wearing a wig.

“I tell you what it really was shocking to see itbecause you\’re right it must be, it was massive. Her hair became massive,”said Trump, whose own hair has been the subject of scrutiny.

Donald Trump – a man who looks like he has a golden retriever sitting on his head – calling someone else\’s hair “massive”?

You\’ve got to be kidding.  That\’s like Derek Jeter calling someone else a former Yankee shortstop.

Look, Trump\’s numbers have been drifting downward – maybe more than drifting – for some time now.  He went from predominating among Republican Presidential hopefuls, to leading, to about even, and now is behind Ben Carson in several polls.  Maybe this is what you do when you see it all going away.

Well, at least it puts the old pot/kettle comparison back in the spotlight and provides a memory flash for older guys like me.

What\’s Donald going to do next?  Call Hillary egotistical?
