The “Lost Tribe” is my description of Jews and non-Jews who support Israel, but continue to come up with rationales for also supporting the increasingly anti-Israel Democrat Party.
They spent 8 years figuring out why Barack Obama’s obvious detestation of Israel was okey-dokey. Even his parting – and most significant – shot on the way out; that of abstaining, thus allowing passage of, a United Nations resolution declaring Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem, and the wailing wall, “occupied territory”.
Well, now Barack Obama is heading out the door. But that doesn’t mean the Lost Tribe has nothing left to rationalize.
Let’s see how they make out on this one, excerpted from Brent Scher’s article at Washington Free Beacon:
The Democratic party’s slate of nominees have agreed to participate in a candidate forum hosted at a restaurant owned by a fierce critic of the Jewish State in the face of widespread criticism that one of the leading candidates to chair the Democratic National Committee is anti-Israel.
Candidates for the top DNC post will participate in a candidate forum later this month at Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C., according to a Politico report. All the major candidates for the chairmanship except Labor Secretary Tom Perez have confirmed they will attend the forum, which is being hosted by Democratic advocacy group Democracy in Color.
Andy Shallal, an Iraqi-born political activist who uses his venue to advance a far-left political agenda, owns the restaurant.
What you just read is only a fraction of what there is to say about this venue, which Democrats have no problem giving their business. I strongly urge you to use the link I’ve provided to get the full complement of how bad this really is.
Then consider the fact that the forum will feature Black supremacist, Israel-hating, farrakhan-loving keith ellison, the current favorite to become the DNC’s next chairperson. This, literally, is a home-field advantage for him.
So what do you think, Lost Tribers? What’s your explanation? What’s your rationalization of this latest affront?
Having trouble coming up with one? I don’t blame you.
Now, how about thinking long and hard about why.
