Suppose, just suppose, that a political party loudly proclaimed its opposition to a voter ID requirement on the grounds that there was no evidence of voter fraud…..but then overtly celebrated someone who was convicted of perpetrating voter fraud. Would you have a problem with that party\’s credibility on the issue?
Melowese Richardson was convicted of voter fraud – in three different elections (and who knows how many others when she wasn\’t caught) – and sentenced to five years in jail.
That was 8 months ago. And she was just released from prison. Why a five year sentence magically became 8 months? Maybe we\’ll find out some day.
In any event, released she was. And who decided to give her a big fat welcome-home celebration?
Ohio Democrats, that\’s who.
At a major kickoff event to push for a constitutional amendment banning voter ID requirements (I swear I did not make that up) – featuring, among others, the career racist, and reverend of no-church-in-particular, al Sharpton – the party big-shots called her to the stage for a nice, big “welcome home”.
Doubt me? Here is the tweet from Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Sharon Coolidge, to prove it.
Two questions for you:
1) A repeat of the question I asked at the beginning of this blog – but this time not as a “suppose”, but as a factually based one: do you have a problem with the Democrat Party\’s credibility on the issue of voter fraud?
2) And on a broader note: are you at all surprised that – based on my googling “Melowise Richardson” and looking at the first THREE pages – other than the Cincinnati Enquirer (which is stuck with the story because of Ms. Coolidge\’s tweet) not one mainstream media venue has reported this incredible outrage – that this is how low mainstream media have sunk in the era of Obama?
If you did not answer “yes” and “no”, in that order…I strongly suggest you consider logic-readjustment therapy. Immediately.
