Today\’s second quote comes to us from Secretary of State John Kerry, arguably the only political figure in this country who has gotten anywhere near as far as Hillary Clinton with virtually no accomplishments to show for it. (Doubt me? Then NAME a couple. I dare you).
Secretary of State Kerry has issued a statement, memorializing the horrific terrorist attacks which occurred one year ago in Paris.
As you no doubt remember, they occurred at the offices of the irreverent magazine Charlie Hebdo, and then, two days later, at a kosher market during Friday afternoon, which is a particularly busy time because observant Jews would not be able to shop for food on Saturday, the Jewish sabbath.
Here is Mr. Kerry\’s entire statement:
On the one-year anniversaryof the January 7-9, 2015, attacks that took the lives of 17 people, we honorthe victims of this tragedy and share the sadness of their loss. Their legacyendures as a challenge and inspiration to all of us. Charlie Hebdo continues topublish, and journalists around the world continue in their essential missionto tell the stories that people everywhere need to hear.
No country knows better than France that freedomhas a price, and that no rationale can justify attacks on innocent men, women, and children. But what was intended to sow fear and division has, in fact, brought us together. We must remain committed to protect each other and renewour determination to turn this moment of profound loss into a lastingcommitment. Just as we tackle today\’s most daunting challenges side by side, the United States and France will always stand together.
Notice any missing component?
Kerry had no problem at all in citing Charlie Hebdo\’s staff, or journalists in general. But the the Jews who were targeted and killed for being Jews? Not a word. To John Kerry – and, presumably the Obama administration, which would certainly have been given an advance copy of Kerry\’s statement – they were not worth mentioning.
Hell, they were only Jews. They might even have been (gasp!) supporters of Israel. So no need for Kerry to give them anything but the back of his hand.
Am I surprised? Nope. Not after years of observing this administration\’s attitude toward Jews – especially Israeli Jews.
But will I be surprised if the “Lost Tribe” – i.e. the Jews (and non-Jews) who support Israel, but still rationalize support for the Obama administration – find a way to ignore this latest affront? No I will not.
After all, Obama & Co. love Jews….provided they have fat wallets and vote Democrat.
As for the rest of them? Who cares? Besides, if those Jews in Paris weren\’t kosher they wouldn\’t have been in that supermarket, so it\’s their fault.
