Today\’s quote comes to us from Washington Post columnist and Fox News commentator Charles Krauthammer. Here is his opinion of a subject I often blog about here: the absurdity of tying gun control laws to terrorist attacks:
“(California has) universal background checks, they have magazine limits, and they have a ban on assault weapons. Look, if you are a Jihadist who wants to kill Americans, you are not going to be held back by the niceties of the gun control laws.
“Even an ordinarycriminal gets around them. And we saw in the case of San Bernardino he gotthem from a neighbor, look, or a friend who knows or they\’re going tobe supplied illicitly. This is such a red herring.”
Charles Krauthammer wins Quote Of The Day honors for stating the obvious fact that gun control laws are irrelevant to people who do not obey laws … obvious, that is, to anyone who allows him/herself to think instead of recite mindless talking points.
