Today’s quote comes to us from current (at least as of now) Minnesota Governor tim walz.
walz has just announced he will not seek a third term. Here, from walz’s written statement, is his explanation of why:
“In September, I announced that I would run for a historic third term as Minnesota’s Governor. And I have every confidence that, if I gave it my all, I would succeed in that effort.
“But as I reflected on this moment with my family and my team over the holidays, I came to the conclusion that I can’t give a political campaign my all.
“Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences.”
There you have it. See, walz would have no problem winning a third term. But if he runs he won’t have enough time to fight the fraud – the multi-billion dollar fraud that took place for the past seven years right under his nose that he didn’t do squat about when he wasn’t running for re-election.
When I was growing up in Brooklyn and then (mostly) in Queens, we used to sing a little rhyme when someone made a comment with this level of, er credibility. It went like this:
“Bullshit makes the flowers grow, (name of person) makes them overflow.”
I award tim walz Quote Of The Day “honors” for giving me a reason to sing that rhyme again.
