Today’s quote comes to us from Israel’s UN Ambassadork Danny Danon. It concerns the United Nations’ humanitarianism – or, more exactly, it’s selective humanitarianism – which has caused it to cry for Gazans since the October 7th massacre in Israel, but not shed a tear for the 1,200 – 1,400 Israelis who were raped, tortured and killed in the most brutal ways imaginable:
“Since October 7, this chamber has passed 77 resolutions—none condemning Hamas.
“You speak of human rights but ignore the most horrific abuse of this war. The UN’s inaction on the hostages is a moral collapse of the highest order.”
Is that true? Has the United Nations not condemned hamas for that massacre? Not even once? Yes it is.
My fingers would fall off if I tried to write all the UN attacks on Israel for reacting to the October 7 massacre. But about hamas, which is on record as intending to annihilate Israel and kill every Jew – and which joyously promised to replicate that massacre “again and again”? Not a word.
I award Danny Danon Quote Of The Day honors for stating this out loud, and therefore educating us about the latest UN grotesquery – …which is necessary because, in concert with the UN, our wonderful national (and international) media have almost unanimously not reported it.
The day the United States leaves this joke of a formerly useful organization – to form, I would hope, an alternative organization that actually would pay attention to the goals the UN should care about, but in reality doesn’t give a damn about – will be a happy day for me.
