IN CASE YOU THINK DEMOCRAT DISDAIN FOR ISRAEL IS ANYTHING NEW…

…let me remind you of how it was in the Obama/Biden administration, by reposting this facebook commentary I put up 9 years ago:

Secretary of State Kerry has issued a statement, memorializing the horrific terrorist attacks which occurred one year ago in Paris.
As you no doubt remember, they occurred at the offices of the irreverent magazine Charlie Hebdo, and then, two days later, at a kosher market – during Friday afternoon, which is a particularly busy time because observant Jews would be shopping for the sabbath.
Here is Mr. Kerry’s entire statement:
=======================================
On the one-year anniversary of the January 7-9, 2015, attacks that took the lives of 17 people, we honor the victims of this tragedy and share the sadness of their loss. Their legacy endures as a challenge and inspiration to all of us. Charlie Hebdo continues to publish, and journalists around the world continue in their essential mission to tell the stories that people everywhere need to hear.
No country knows better than France that freedom has a price, and that no rationale can justify attacks on innocent men, women, and children. But what was intended to sow fear and division has, in fact, brought us together. We must remain committed to protect each other and renew our determination to turn this moment of profound loss into a lasting commitment. Just as we tackle today’s most daunting challenges side by side, the United States and France will always stand together.

Notice any missing component?
Kerry had no problem at all in citing Charlie Hebdo’s staff, or journalists in general. But the attack, two days later, on Jews who were targeted and killed for BEING Jews? Not a word. To John Kerry – and, presumably the Obama administration, which would certainly have been given an advance copy of Kerry’s statement – they were not worth mentioning.
Hell, they were only Jews. They might even have been (gasp!) supporters of Israel. So no need for Kerry to give them anything but the back of his hand.
Am I surprised? Nope. Not after years of observing this administration’s attitude toward Jews – especially Israeli Jews.
But will I be surprised if the “Lost Tribe” – i.e. the Jews (and non-Jews) who support Israel, but still rationalize support for the Obama administration – find a way to ignore this latest affront? No I will not.
After all, Obama & Co. love Jews….provided they have fat wallets and vote Democrat.
As for the other ones? Who cares? Besides, if those Jews in Paris weren’t kosher they wouldn’t have been in that supermarket, so it’s their fault. Right?

The Democrat Party’s disdain for Jews – and especially for Israel, as seen in every poll (here is just one example)  – is nothing new.  It has been going on for years.  And even today, the “lost tribe” as I called them then (and now) – Jews who find ways, however far-fetched and irrational – to convince themselves that this is not happening, still comprise the majority of Jewish voters.

As Pete Seeger sang many years ago, “When will they ever learn?  When will they ever learn?”
