Today’s quote comes to us from Charlie Baker, former Republican Governor of Massachusetts, and current President of the National Collegiate AthleticS Association (NCAA).
One of the issues discussed was the current NCAA policy that “transgender student athletes should be able to use the locker room, shower and toilet facilities in accordance with their gender identity” – in other words a male who decides he is a female should be able to go into the women’s locker room and strip naked, shower, etc. with the women there whether they like it or not.
When Hawley pressed Baker on the fact that this forced women athletes to be exposed to, and expose themselves to, a naked man, this was his response:
“Everybody else should have an opportunity to use other facilities if they wish to do so.”
In other words, if the women don’t like it, they should take a hike and find somewhere other than the women’s locker to shower and change clothes. Not the guy who decided he was a woman, but everyone else.
I award Charlie Baker Quote Of The Day honors for being an obtuse, “woke” jerk.
Oh, one other thing: when Hawley asked Baker if he agreed that male athletes have a physical advantage over female athletes, his answer was:
“There’s not a lot of research on it, but it’s certainly debatable”
Did I call Baker a jerk? Forget that. He is not just a jerk. He is living proof that an asshole can sprout arms, legs, and a head – with some form of cerebral function, however minimal – and show up at a senate hearing.
