No one I am aware of has successfully hustled mostly well-meaning people for as long a period of time as al sharpton.
And the hustle continues.

Al Sharpton pocketed nearly $1 million in bonuses from his National Action Network nonprofit
Rev. Al Sharpton has given himself hefty bonuses over the years as the founder and CEO of his nonprofit group National Action Network (NAN), in addition to his gig as an MSNBC
In 2014, Sharpton gave himself a $64,400 bonus. In 2016, he gave himself a whopping $437,555, which was more than the $250,000 base compensation he listed that year.
In 2018, he listed $159,596 as a bonus to his $324,000 base compensation. Notably, he listed another $563,352 under “other reportable compensation.”
Fast-forward to 2021, Sharpton gave himself a sizable $278,503 bonus, which was roughly 80% of his $348,174 base compensation that year.
In total, Sharpton collected $940,054 in bonuses from his nonprofit over the seven-year period.
That’s a lot of money. So this National Action Network (NAN) must be doing one helluva bangup job in….something or other, right?
Uh…wrong. Here is its website. Click on it, see a bunch of promotional stuff, a promise of several pre-scheduled protests, a way of donating money…and then click on “Upcoming Events”. What you will see is “No Events”.
For this, sharpton pays himself hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and then gives himself bonuses of hundreds of thousands more: money he gets from the suckers who contribute to this sham.
And what does MSNBC – which has disgraced itself for years by giving sharpton a show that ratings-wise borders somewhere between disastrous and catastrophic – say about this?
MSNBC told the Washington Free Beacon, which broke the story, that the network was “unaware” of the payments to Sharpton’s nonprofit.
Yep, that’s credible. The network that gives sharpton a national voice has never bothered to notice what he does to make millions of dollars when he’s not on-air. I guess it also didn’t notice that sharpton collected a cool $500,000 for his “interview” of Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential campaign.
Pathetic? Yes. Ridiculous? You bet. But the hustle continues anyway.
That’s the one thing al sharpton seems to be truly competent at.
