A QUICK THOUGHT ABOUT THE ELECTION RESULTS

In 2016, despite winning the presidency, Donald Trump got about 3,000,000 fewer votes than Hillary Clinton.

In 2020, Donald Trump got about 7,000,000 fewer votes than Joe Biden.

But this year, though the votes are not fully counted and what’s left (mostly West Coast) are going to close things up, with about a 3,700,000 lead it’s a good bet that Trump will wind up with a higher popular vote total than Kamala Harris – the first time Republicans have accomplished this in 20 years.

I wonder if the fact that this year Republicans, instead of just complaining about it, finally made a major national effort to scrutinize how votes are counted and what happens to the ballots – thus making it far harder to cheat – had something to do with this.

We’ll never know for sure.  But I wonder…..
