Today’s quotes – there are two of them which go together – come to us from Billionaire techie Mark Cuban.
On Thursday, while on ABC’s “The View”, a take-no-prisoners hard left program featuring a panel of women who absolutely despise Donald Trump, Cuban delighted that panel and its amen chorus audience by saying this:
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them. Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
Now that is fascinating, given that Trump has always had women around him in major roles, none the least of whom was Kellyanne Conway, who ran his winning 2016 presidential run, and then was a senior counsellor during his administration. And today, apart from his daughter in law Lara Trump who also co-chairs the Republican National Committee, there is co-campaign manager Susie Wiles, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and a host of others.
Possibly realizing how utterly ridiculous his comment was, Cuban attempted to – at least somewhat – walk it back yesterday, by tweeting this:
“When I said this during the interview, I didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn’t about trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former And, I set myself up for the 6 sec soundbite. No excuses. Can’t nail every interview. My skin is thick enough.”
Uh….let me get this straight. When he said that “you never see him (Trump) around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him”…
…he wasn’t talking about Trump voters, or Trump supporters, or Trump employees – as in the women Trump proactively puts around him??????
If not them, then – other than Nikki Haley – who the eff WAS he talking about?
I award Mark Cuban Quote(s) Of The Day “honors” for providing a mind-numbing word salad, apropos of nothing, which is so convolutedly contorted it actually is worthy of Kamala Harris. And that, folks, takes some doing.
