Today’s quote comes to us from Vice President and presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
Last night, she spent two hours at a rally, the format being an “interview” with avid supporter Oprah Winfrey.
Here is how Vice President Harris ended the “interview”:
“We love our country. I love our country. I know we all do, that’s why everybody’s here right now. We love our country. We– we take pride in the privilege of being American and this is a moment where [pause] we can and must come together as Americans, understanding we have so much more in common than what separates us.
“Let’s come together with the character that we are so proud of about who we are.
“We believe in what is possible, we believe in what can be, and we believe in fighting for that.
“And that’s who we are; we believe in all that, and so this is a moment where we stand knowing what we are fighting for. We’re not fighting against, it’s what we’re fighting for.”
Huh? Wah? Does anyone have a clue what this gobbledegook combination of platitudes and memorized slogans means to voters? What it tells us about who/what she is or what she will do if elected?
According to Megan Palin, writing about this event in the New York Post:
Vice President Kamala Harris is being ridiculed over her latest word salads — with many suggesting she even left celebrity supporter Oprah Winfrey looking confused and “lost.”
The Democrat’s presidential candidate repeatedly rambled during her star-studded, two-hour virtual rally with Winfrey late Thursday, with the TV host at times prodding her to give straight answers to questions.
She then ended with a two-minute monologue that confused many people listening — including Winfrey, according to online commentators who said the powerful media mogul looked “lost” and “unimpressed.”
Translation: Harris was so devoid of substance that even her big-time supporter, Ms. Winfrey, couldn’t abide it.
I award Kamala Harris Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us again, as she seems to just about every day, that if they ever build a Hall Of Fame for vacuous yada-yada-yada, she should get her own wing.
