THE PARAGRAPH OF THE DAY

Today’s paragraph comes to us from Brendan O’Neill, writing for spiked-online.com.

Here it is, without further introduction – because you certainly don’t need me to explain the point he is making:

What would you call a gathering of angry people marching behind a giant, grotesque effigy of a horned Jew with blood dripping from his mouth? A gathering at which one attendee held up a placard calling for a ‘Final Solution’ for ‘the Zionists’? A gathering at which people giddily waved the flag of a movement that is devoted to the murder of Jews? A gathering at which there were banners and speedily daubed graffiti on public monuments singing the praises of this Jew-killing outfit? I would call it a fascist rally. And yet, bizarrely, when just such a rally took place in Washington, DC yesterday, the liberal media called it an ‘anti-war protest’. Were they watching something else?

In case you are wondering about that effigy reference, here it is:

A fascist rally in Washington, DC

That clear enough for you?

And in case you are wondering why there is no mention of anti-Semitism in the paragraph, not to worry.  The paragraph is a set-up; the entire rest of Mr. O’Neill’s commentary talks about the in-your face anti-Semitism, and fascism that is featured – celebrated – by these creatures, and how so much of our media (for reasons that I, as a Jew, am truly fearful of) move heaven and earth to gloss over/sugar-coat/understate it.

Please, please use the above link (here it is again) and read every word of Brendan O’Neill’s commentary.  Understand what is actually going on here.   And then try to explain to yourself why more of our media are not calling it out for what it so obviously is.

Do we live in 2024 United States, or 1931 Germany?  Incidents like this make it harder and harder to distinguish between the two.
