As the Jew-hating, Israel-hating segment continues to spew, I thought I would try to give them something to think about.
Here, from wikipedia.com, is a list – a partial one I am sure, of Israel’s contributions to the world.
Let me show you just one section of the many covered there – medicine:
- The pressure bandage – known widely as the Israeli Bandage is a specially designed, first-aid device that is used to stop bleeding from hemorrhagic wounds caused by traumatic injuries in pre-hospital emergency situations.[28] First used for saving lives during a NATO peacekeeping operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina,[29] by inventor, Israeli military medic, Bernard Bar-Natan.[30] The bandage was successfully used during operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and is widely used today, across the world.[31][32][33] The bandage was nicknamed “Israeli bandage” by American soldiers, and has been “the bandage of choice for the US Army and special forces”. Before the Israeli emergency bandage was invented in 1998, wounded soldiers were told to find a rock and wrap it on top of hemorrhaging wounds in order to hold direct pressure.[34] Bar-Natan sold his company to PerSys Medical Inc in Houston, Texas, the company that first introduced the bandage to the US military.

- Development of the Copaxone immunomodulator drug for treating multiple sclerosis. It was developed in the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel by Michael Sela, Ruth Arnon and Deborah Teitelbaum.[36][37]
- Development of Azilect , (Rasagiline) for treating Parkinson’s disease.. It was developed by Moussa B.H. Youdim and John Finberg of Technion, Faculty of Medicine </ref>
- Development of bioengineered recombinant interferon proteins by Michel Revel from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.[38]
- Development of taliglucerase alfa (Elelyso), a recombinant glucocerebrosidase enzyme produced from transgenic carrot cell cultures.[39] Taliglucerase alfa won approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in May 2012 as an orphan drug for the treatment of Type 1 Gaucher’s disease.[40]
- Sambucol, an over-the-counter elderberry-based anti-influenza syrup.[41] Discovered by Dr. Madeleine Mumcuoglu at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Studies in 1995 showed that Sambucol was effective against human, swine and avian influenza strains, although more research is required to clearly understand its effectiveness.[42][43][44]
- Development of ENvue, a feeding tube placement system with advanced methods of navigation, integrated sensors and body mapping, for accurate enteral tube placement, by the Israeli company ENvizion Medical, used in Hospitals and Medical centers in the US.[45]
That’s just medicine. And, as noted above, there are many other sections with major innovations that benefit the world. Among them:
And more.
Now, I have a challenge for the geniuses screaming for “death to Israel”, and to the Boycott Divest Sanction (BDS) crowd that claims it wants nothing to do with anything related to Israel. Are you willing to give up these advances? Are you boycotting them? Would you have been happy if divesting and sanctioning closed down the Israeli entities that provided them?
I assume you are answering in the affirmative. You are fine with the fact that death to Israel would mean none of this happened and BDS means even if though it did you want no part of it. Right?
Uh……..right???
While you’re trying to come up with a rationale for your answer to the above question, I’ll ask another one: which of the countries or areas you favor over Israel has produced even a small fraction of the beneficial advances that Israel has?
I’ll give you all the time you need to come up with that list. After all, it must be pretty extensive. Right?
Uh……..right???
I will now end this blog. Because if you understand what I am communicating it isn’t necessary. And if you don’t by now, you never will.
