The United Nations Security Council has just voted to adapt a Gaza ceasefire resolution.
It does not condemn hamas for its massacre that started this war. In fact, hamas is not even mentioned. It didn’t do anything wrong, it doesn’t even exist.
And the United States? Did it veto this resolution out of hand?
Nope. It abstained. It said, in effect, “Go ahead, we could stop this but we won’t. Have fun”.
In 2020 Jews voted 68% – 30% for BIden over Trump. I wonder how they’ll vote this time. I wonder if they will see this as a betrayal.
And I wonder how Muslims will vote, given that, while not stopping it with a veto, the US did not support it either.
