Excerpted from article at cnn.com:
Trump saidFriday that he would “absolutely” put Carson in his Cabinet if hewere to win the presidency.
“I wouldput him — I\’d love to have that,” Trump said on MSNBC\’s “MorningJoe.”
Trump calledCarson a “nice man” and said so far the two have had a “verygood relationship,” seemingly ignoring a roughly two-week span inSeptember during which the two traded jabs on faith and energy.
The realestate mogul said that while Carson would be “qualified” to win theGOP nomination and presidency, he wouldn\’t do the job as well as a PresidentTrump.
Isn\’t this the same Donald Trump who, just weeks ago, blew off Carson, calling him “an alright doctor”, who “only managed a couple of nurses”?
Now he\’s a great guy, a natural for Trump\’s cabinet…oh, and they have had a “very good relationship”?
I have taken to calling Donald Trump the world\’s richest barroom loudmouth. And this is exactly what a barroom loudmouth does – makes blunt, nasty comments, based on nothing substantive, and then has no compunction about turning on a dime and saying the exact opposite at will.
Lucky for us he is not running for President – a reality which I am, if anything, more certain of now than when I originally said it months ago.
As his big mouth and his unsubstantiated comments catch up with him (as they have already started to do in some polls) he will find a pretext to pull out … and will do so in a way that suggests he is being mistreated so the country, which loves him, will not get the benefit of his brilliance. So there.
I\’d put that at about a 99% probability. And pray for no hail-mary long shot to occur.
