If most of the country thinks Joe Biden is too old and/or too cognitively debilitated to be President of the United States, what would it tell them if, as part of his upcoming physical examination, he refused to take a cognitive test?
Would it tell the country that Biden is confident he could zip through such a test and show people that their assessment is wrong; that he is perfectly fine and up to the rigors of his job?
Or would it tell the country – including the minority who, at least until now, still believe he’s OK, that he fears the results of that test?
While you’re considering these possibilities (I doubt it will take you very long to make your conclusion), here are excerpts from Anders Hagstrom’s article for Fox News (one of the relatively few media venues giving this the attention it so obviously demands):
President Biden will not take a cognitive test as part of his upcoming physical exam, the White House confirmed Monday.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, does not believe a cognitive test is necessary. She said O’Connor believes Biden proves his cognitive ability “every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks.”
“Does the White House think that the idea of the president taking a cognitive test as a part of this physical is a legitimate idea?” a reporter asked.
“I’m just gonna say what Dr. O’Connor said to me about a year ago when [Biden’s physical] was released,” Jean-Pierre responded. “The president proves every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks, by dealing with world leaders, by making difficult decisions on behalf of the American people – whether it’s domestic or it’s national security.”
This is what they trotted Karine Jean-Pierre out to say? That Biden’s everyday actions – the ones which have caused most people to doubt his cognitive capacity – are the reason we should believe he’s got all his marbles?
That’s a little like saying that someone who staggers out of a bar, wobbles from side to side and slurs his words is showing the world he’s sober.
The obvious truth? If Biden – or, more exactly, the puppeteers propping him up – thought he could zip right through a legitimately given cognitive test, he would take one in two seconds flat – and publicize the results every way possible…
…therefore, the one and only reason Biden will not take that test is because he fears its result. And everyone knows it.
This is an end-game if I ever saw one. The only issue is when.
