HILLARY\’S LATEST CREDIBILITY ISSUE

Ken Berwitz

Can anyone in his or her right mind take anything Hillary Clinton says at face value?

Here is the latest example of why I ask that question, excerpted from Rachel Bade\’s article at politico.com:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton greenlighted paperwork thatchanged her top aide Huma Abedin\’s job status to “special government employee” – a classification that allowed Abedin to work for an outside consulting firmand the Clinton Foundation at the same time she was advising Clinton at State.

According to documents obtained by conservative groupJudicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, Clinton was theimmediate supervisor who approved the title change that came with the new poston March 23, 2012, permitting her then-deputy chief of staff to work severaljobs at once.

POLITICO reported Wednesdaythat the president of the outside company where Abedin ended up working laterthat year, Doug Band of Teneo, had contacted her in April 2012, asking her forhelp getting a client appointed to a post on the President’s Global DevelopmentCouncil.

In the email, he madesure Abedin knew that the woman, Judith Rodin, president of The RockefellerFoundation, was also a big supporter of the Clinton Foundation – another placeAbedin would collect a paycheck after her SGE status was approved.

Clinton, in aninterview with MSNBC on Sept. 4, said she “was not directly involved”with Abedin\’s job arrangement.

“Was not directly involved”????????????????????????????

I have a question for Ms. Clinton (and for anyone who believes her claim that she “was not directly involved”.)  If you had not signed off on that paperwork, would Huma Abedin have been able to work for the outside consulting firm and the Clinton Foundation at the same time she was working for you?  Yes or no.

If the answer is no – and, of course, it is – then do not tell us you had no direct involvement in Huma Abedin holding, and being compensated for, three jobs simultaneously, along with their self-evident conflicts of interest — including the specific one outlined above by politico.com.

Most people – including a ton of Democrats – see Hillary Clinton as neither trustworthy nor honest.  Is there any doubt about why?
