You have to love this stuff.
How badly run is Hillary Clnton\’s presidential campaign? She is now claiming that a vote she cast while in the senate – one which Democrats find distasteful – was not her fault. She was forced to make the vote because Joe Biden told her to.
Can this possibly be true? Can Hillary Clinton possibly be blaming anyone for her votes in the senate besides herself? And can she possibly be telling the country that Joe Biden – who, let\’s remember, is thisclose to challenging her for the presidential nomination – was able to pull her strings and make her go against what she really wanted to do?
Hillary Clinton defended her votefor a controversial bankruptcy bill reviled by the left on Thursday, and saidshe did so at the insistence of then-Sen. Joe Biden, whojust happens to be considering challengingher for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Her comments suggest how the Clinton campaign might respondif Mr. Biden decides to run, and highlights the challenges the vice presidentwould have in appealing to liberals in the party. His record includes many ofthe centrist policies and compromises that progressives reject.
The overhaul was promoted bythe credit-card and banking industries and would have made it more difficultfor people to get relief from debts through bankruptcy. As first lady, Mrs.Clinton had opposed a similar proposal. She said the bill she later supportedhad been improved.
Huh? Wha?
Hillary Clinton voted for this bill. Not Joe Biden, but Hillary Clinton. And now, 14 years later, it\’s not her fault, because Biden made her vote for it?
Our grandchildren – aged 8 and 5 – could both come up with something better than that, without even trying.
I\’ve written a lot about how badly the email scandal has hurt Hillary Clinton\’s candidacy. But this is a reminder – a very clear one – that there is a lot more wrong with Ms. Clinton than which server she used while Secretary Of State….
…and why we should keep her far, far away from the oval office.
