Today’s quote comes to us from Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking at the Essence Festival of Culture at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Ms. Harris displayed her typical level of clarity and insight while attempting to define “culture:
“Culture is – it is a reflection of our moment and our time. Right?
‘And present culture is the way we express how we’re feeling about the moment, and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment.
‘That is a reflection of joy. Because, you know,, ‘it comes in the morning (then breaking into laughter.
‘We have to find ways to also express the way we feel about the moment in terms of just having language and a connection to how people are experiencing life. And I think about it in that way, too.”
Forget for just a moment that Kamala Harris is one heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States, and the heartbeat belongs to an 80 year old man in significant physical and cognitive decline. Pretend the person who said it is an elementary school teacher talking to fourth grade students. Does it make any sense? Is it even ccoherent?
Now stop pretending, and realize that this flyweight-quality mindlessness came from the first in line to the Oval Office.
Dear God.
I award Kamala Harris Quote Of The Day honors for nothing other than a wish that Biden hangs on long enough so that she does not ascend to the presidency…
…and I award myself Amazement Of The Day honors for finding a reason to prefer the mentally challenged, physically challenged, hard-left-controlled Joe Biden to be there.
