HILLARY\’S “SOUR GRAPES” DEFENSE

Remember Aesop\’s fable about the sour grapes?  In case you don\’t, I\’ll post it below:

A very hungry fox walked into a vineyard where there was an ample supply of luscious looking grapes. Grapes had never looked so good, and the fox was famished. However, the grapes hung higher than the fox could reach. He jumped and stretched and hopped and reached and jumped some more trying to get those grapes, but to no avail. No matter what he tried, he could not reach the grapes. He wore himself out jumping and jumping to get the grapes.

“Those grapes surely must be sour,” he said as he walked away, “I wouldn\’t eat them if they were served to me on a silver platter.”

Poor fox.  He couldn\’t get what he wanted, so he pretended that what he wanted wasn\’t any good.  That way they didn\’t count.

And now we have an update of this fable.

Excerpted from Chuck Ross\’s blog at dailycaller.com:

Last week Hillary Clinton was blaming Republicans for her email scandal woes; this week she\’s blaming the federal government and its “ridiculous classification rules.”

The Democratic presidential candidate sent a tweet early Friday morning which linked to a Politico article and called the government\’s classification protocols “the real problem.”

The new messaging strategy comes just hours after Clinton\’s email claims were dealt another severe blow. Reuters found 17 emails that the former secretary of state sent from her personal account which contained information which was “born classified.”

In other words:

-First she lied about there being classified material on her server.

-Then she claimed she didn\’t know material on her server was classified because it didn\’t have the “Classified” stamp on it (as though a sitting Secretary Of State, who continually got material before it would be evaluated one way or the other, couldn\’t figure out what might be classified).

-And now, when it turns out that there was material clearly stamped “Classified”, her response is…….well, it shouldn\’t have been classified.

Just like the Fox who couldn\’t get the grapes so they must have been sour, Hillary Clinton can\’t lie anymore about the classified information on her server, so it shouldn\’t have been classified.

Aesop would have been hard pressed to write as many fables as Hillary Clinton tells.

Now I wait for the other shoe to drop — i.e. they “unwipe” the server and find emails about Benghazi.

Admittedly, I don\’t know for 100% certain that incriminating Benghazi emails exist and would irreparably damage Clinton.  But I\’m currently hovering in the high 90\’s…. and the momentum is upward.

We\’ll see…….
