Ken Berwitz
Today\’s quote comes to us from James Carville, who, along with Lanny Davis, has been politically exhumed to be trotted out in front of the cameras so they can pretend Hillary Clinton is as pure as the driven snow, and there\’s nothing at all to the email scandal.
How, exactly, does Carville try to convince us that this is so? Here are his exact words:
“It\’s just mostly, you know, stupid media people talking to other stupid media people, making stuff up and spinning themselves up on something that\’s not going to amount to a hill of beans.”
That, folks, is the Carville “defense”: everyone else is stupid, a bunch of liars and delusionaries.
See, the fact that Clinton, by her own admission, put four years of emails on a personal server that any minor-league hacker could have retrieved, let alone the experts employed by our enemies, doesn\’t even amount to a hill of beans. And the fact that there was classified material which now, undoubtedly, is in their hands? We\’re not even going to talk about that.
Despite the fact that those words came from his mouth, I do not award Quote Of The Day honors to James Carville.
I award Quote Of The Day honors to Hillary Clinton and her team, for resurrecting Carville to spew this BS in the hope that, somehow, it will still be just like the 1990’s, when people paid attention to his mindless, meaningless, factless bluster.
May they be wrong.
