Are you still not mobilizing the national guard, Governor Nixon?
If not, why not?
When this really does blow – and all appearances are that, unless you give these anarchists a reason to back off, it will -just like it did last year – what will you tell the citizens of Ferguson? Of Saint Louis? Of Missouri?
I would love answers to those questions. But I would love even more that the events which would require that they be answered do not happen.
Maybe Missouri will get lucky – very lucky – and the worst of this year\’s issues – the arrests, the gunfire, the acts of violence, the assaults, the general anarchy – are already over.
But a) I would not bet one red cent on that and b) regardless, is this how a competent Governor operates? By doing nothing and crossing his fingers? How did that work out last year?
No one can possibly know for sure, but this has all the earmarks of a disastrous explosion in progress.
Don\’t say you weren\’t warned about it, Mr. Governor.
