The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll is out. And from June to July, to quote the NBC News story\’s headline, “Hillary Clinton\’s Favorability Drops Sharply”.
In June, Ms. Clinton was at 44% favorable – 40% favorable. That was not good news for her, given that the only serious competition on the Democrat side was a little-known 73 year old Senator from a small state, and the only Republican getting any headlines was the world\’s richest barroom loudmouth, Donald Trump.
But now the July data have been released. And that bad-news 44% – 40% favorability is no longer a reality, it is now a goal.
The latest poll shows Hillary Clinton at 37% favorable – 48% unfavorable. From +4% to -11% in one month – again, with no serious competition.
Remember those old commercials for antacid – “How do you spell relief? R O L A I D S”?
Well those numbers tell us how you spell Hillary Clinton\’s campaign: C O L L A P S E.
Maybe Rolaids should send over a few cases of its product to the Clinton people. They\’ll need them.
And that goes double when (I don\’t think it is an “if” anymore) Joe Biden, a very likable, very experienced, Democrat alternative, announces his candidacy.
