MEDIA BIAS? NAAAHHHH (CONT.)

The source of this latest example of media bias is someone using the screen name “Datechguy”.  I don\’t know his real name, but would thank him by that name if I could.

The following is excerpted from his his blog about an astonishing, depraved comment which was made by Rep. Luis Guitierrez (D-MEX) ….(, actually, it is D-IL, but since he seems to represent Mexican illegals far more than U.S. Citizens I sometimes forget), and our wonderful “neutral” media\’s reaction – or, should I say non-reaction – to it.

Four years ago a US representative out of Missouri named Todd Akin made a comment concerning how the female human body reacts to rape.

It became national news and every single republican running for office was made to answer for that statement. No matter where you were running or what you were running for, as far as the MSM was concerned it was your job to publicly comment and or denounce Rep Akin for his remarks and if you did not it was a sign that you were part of a Republican “War on women”.

Fast forward a few years. Thanks to Donald Trump the subject of sanctuary cities and the murder of Katheryn Steinle has become national news.

Young Ms. Steinle\'(s) murder by a man deported multiple times has created a very loud debate on the subject on Sanctuary cities and lo and behold another member of congress has made an incredible comment to the press in defense of Sanctuary Cities

REP. LUIS GUTIERREZ: Every time a little thing like this happens, they use the most extreme example to say it must be eliminated.

Excuse me? Did a sitting US Congressman just call the violent murder of a young woman before her father’s eyes in broad daylight by a man deported multiple times “a little thing”?

The remainder of Datechguy\’s blog is primarily a series of questions directed toward Telemundo, where the interview aired, Janet Rodriguez, the interviewer, the National English language press, and finally to the Democrat Presidential candidates – none of whom has been asked her or his reaction to the Guitierrez comment:  not when Guitierrez said it and not since (this blog was written a week and a half ago).

Here is what Datechguy would ask the candidates:

I have three questions for all of the Democrat Candidates for president: Hillary Clinton, Jim Webb, Bernie Sanders, Martin O\’Malley & Lincoln Chafee:

1. Do you agree with Representative Luis Gutierrez characterization of the murder of Kathryn Steinle as “a little thing”.

2. Will you condemn and call on your fellow Democrat candidates to condemn Representative Gutierrez\’s characterization of the murder of Kathryn Steinle as a “little thing”

3. Will you call on Representative Gutierrez to apologize to women in general and the Steinle family in particular for referring to Kathryn Steinle\’s murder as “a little thing”.

I\’d be very interested in hearing the answers to these questions wouldn\’t you? And if I don\’t get any answers that leads to one more question for all the people above:

If Representative Gutierrez was a Republican rather than a democrat would you be treating his statements differently than you are now?

Todd Akin made what most people would call a stupid, indefensible statement – and not only was he (correctly) pilloried for it by the press, but Republicans everywhere were expected to pillory him as well, or be thought of as being his clone.

Yet when Luis Guitierrez makes a stupid, indefensible statement like the above – not only has he not been pilloried for it, but no Democrats anywhere are expected to pillory him; they are left completely out of the loop.

Media bias?  Naaahhhh.

Our media are not biased.  Just ask them.
