THE NEXT PLANNED PARENTHOOD VIDEO

Last week I blogged about an undercover video, created by a “pro-life” group called the Center for Medical Progress, in which…

anti-abortion activists posing as medical research buyers and released on Tuesday, which apparently shows Dr. Deborah Nucatola, a Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood, discussing how body parts of aborted babies are harvested and sold for $30 to $100 each, depending on which part and how difficult the extraction procedure is.

Dr. Nucatela calmly, indifferently dispenses this information while sitting with the “medical research buyers” in a Los Angeles restaurant, downing a glass of wine and a salad

I then blogged about the fact that the coverage of this remarkable, damning video – what coverage there was of it (every network except Fox ignored it on the Sunday morning shows) – preponderantly rationalized and supported Planned Parenthood.

I ended with this:

…wonder, along with me, how these people can call themselves journalists – how they can call themselves anything other than staff members – propagandists – for Planned Parenthood.

Well, the same group has now released a second undercover video…which, if anything, is even more damning than the first.

Here are some of the particulars, excerpted from Austin Ruse\’s article at breitbart.com (what?  did you expect this from NBC, ABC or CBS?):

In the second video released today by the Center for Medical Progress, yet another senior medical adviser to Planned Parenthood of America appears to negotiate the price of selling baby body parts to actors playing entrepreneurs from a start-up biotech firm.

Dr. Mary Gatter, President of Planned Parenthood\’s Medical Director\’s Council, is asked, “What would you expect for intact tissue?”

When pushed for a number, Gatter says, “Well, you know in negotiations the person who throws out the figure first is at a loss, right? So…”

When pushed again for how much her Planned Parenthood affiliate is willing to sell baby body parts for, she responds, “Okay, $75.”

When the buyer tells her that number seems low Gatter responds, “I was going to say $50.”

After the first video was released last week in which Dr. Deborah Nucatola also appears to negotiate the price of fetal body parts, Planned Parenthood insisted that the price Nucatola mentioned was only related to the costs incurred by Planned Parenthood with no profit involved. In the Nucatola video, however, she is seen and heard explaining that the Planned Parenthood affiliates in the body parts business wanted to do more than “break even.”

In this second video, shot in February at a restaurant in Pasadena, Gatter seems willing to accept a higher and higher price.

At the end of the tape provided by CMP, Gatter jokes about wanting “a Lamborghini” for body parts.

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). 

Are mainstream media going to ignore this video too?

Here\’s a question for them – and for you:  if all Planned Parenthood is doing is recouping the costs associated with harvesting and selling these human organs – remember that term “human organs” – then what is the haggling about?  There is a cost, here is what it is, that is what you pay.  End of discussion.

The only reason Planned Parenthood could be involved in haggling is to get some number different from the harvesting and selling cost.  And, as Mr. Ruse points out above, that is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a fine of up to $500,000.

Is THAT enough to get it on the news?  Is THAT enough for media to talk about what Planned Parenthood – the iconic love of so many of their lives – is really up to?  Is THAT enough to question why hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars are handed over to Planned Parenthood every year?

Or is their love of the “pro-choice” position so great, that hard news about overtly illegal actions by the single most prolific abortion provider in the country is going to be suppressed.  Again.

I think we both know the answer.

Let me end with one more question:  if Planned Parenthood is harvesting intact organs, it must be harvesting them from a fully formed – small, and in the process of development (just like everyone until the end of puberty), but nonetheless fully formed – entity.

What would you call that entity, with its fully formed internal organs, arms, legs, etc.?  There is a four letter word to describe it…..

…and another, far less pleasant four letter word to describe anyone sick enough to call it anything else.
