HUFFINGTON, PUFFINGTON, BLOW YOUR CREDIBILITY DOWN

Anyone who reads the huffingtonpost.com web site certainly knows its staff and contributors are not what you\’d call avid fans of Donald Trump\’s.  That\’s perfectly fine.  Anyone can dislike Trump or any other presidential candidate and maintain its credibility.

But now huffingtonpost.com has decided its dislike, disdain, maybe outright hatred of Trump is such that the will no longer cover his candidacy.  They will instead relegate his goings-on to gossip status.  Even though every poll shows him a serious contender and at least two show him leading all other Republicans.

That leaves them with no credibility at all.

Here is the web site\’s statement:

After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won\’t report on Trump\’s campaign as part of The Huffington Post\’s political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump\’s campaign is a sideshow. We won\’t take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you\’ll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.

Can these geniuses possibly believe that this does anything but obliterate their credibility?

Can they possibly think Trump – who has a personal fortune sufficient to buy and sell huffingtonpost.com many times over – cares what they say about him…except to use the web site\’s astonishingly juvenile behavior as an opportunity to make a few headlines at its expense?

Personally, I find this amusing.  Laughably so.  Trump gets what he wants – another shot of publicity – and huffingtonpost.com, I would bet, rave reviews from its hard-left faithful, while everyone else sees them as a bunch of silly, vindictive circus clowns.

I can\’t wait to see what happens next.  I love to watch children playing in a sandbox.
