Apropos of nothing political….
We spent Sunday afternoon with our son, daughter in law and grandchildren (aged 8 and 5) “down the shore” at Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
They walked the boardwalk, taking in all the sights, sounds and smells, had (an overpriced, but fun) finger-food lunch, played a few of the boardwalk games (they both won large stuffed animals!), rode the amusement park rides – and then to Hoffman\’s, for some of the best ice cream you can get anywhere.
It is hard to imagine giving children this age a day filled with more fun. They loved it and we loved being with them and their mom and dad.
Ok, back to politics, where, all too often, every day we get a boardwalk game and, instead of finger food, we get no nourishment at all, just the finger.
