Y\’know that warning, “you\’re bleepin\’ with the wrong guy”?
If Hillary Clinton is bleepin\’ with Chris Christie, she is bleepin\’ with the wrong guy.
Ms. Clinton, continuing her “I make speeches, I don\’t answer questions, I am a Goddess” tour, spent Thursday evening pandering to Black voters – in part, by telling them that voter ID legislation suppresses the Black vote.
As pointed out in numerous blogs here, and elsewhere, voter ID suppressing Black voters is not only untrue, but is an overtly racist claim, which suggests that Black people are somehow less capable of obtaining a valid ID – the same kind of ID they use to drive, to cash checks, to get on airplanes, to take out library books, and – ironically – to get into the offices of virtually every media venue which is happy to tout this fraudulent claim.
In any event, during her pander-fest, Ms. Clinton singled out New Jersey Governor Chris Christie over his veto of legislation that would have expanded the state\’s early voting period from where it already is.
Here, according to Jake Miller\’s article for CBS News, is Governor Christie\’s response – which was made during an interview which will be aired on CBS\’s Face The Nation tomorrow morning:
“She doesn\’t know what she\’s talking about. I don\’t want to expand it and increase the opportunities for fraud. And maybe that\’s what Mrs. Clinton wants to do. I don\’t know. But the fact is that the folks in New Jersey have plenty of an opportunity to vote.”
“Maybe, you know, if she took some questions some places and learned some things, maybe she wouldn\’t make such ridiculous statements”.
Ouch.
Incidentally, in New Jersey, voters can either mail in or hand-deliver an absentee ballot to 45 days before the election. Does that suggest early voting is being suppressed to you?
By contrast, New York State has no early voting any more than New Jersey does… and absentee ballots must a) be due to some specific situation (i.e. out of the state, illness, etc.), b) be mailed in, no option to personally hand it and c) must be postmarked no more than 25 days before the election….which is 20 days less than in New Jersey.
Ironic, isn\’t it, that in New York, which Hillary Clinton served as a U. S. Senator for 8 years, there is less opportunity to early-vote than in New Jersey.
So since she\’s so hot to change things, what, in those 8 years as Senator, did Ms. Clinton do to remedy this….besides nothing?
Does this – again – show show Hillary Clinton to be a pandering hypocritical fraud, who counts on low-information voters and a fawning, media ever-vigilant to protect her (even as she craps on them), to skate through this hoped-for coronation political campaign?
You tell me.
