THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from that fabled Commander In Chief, President Barack Obama.

Here is what Mr. Obama had to say about the fall of Ramadi – a strategically located city maybe 75 miles from Baghdad – to ISIS….oh, excuse me, ISIL (that\’s what the really smart people call it):

“No, I don\’t think we\’re losing.  There\’s no doubt there was a tactical setback, (but) Ramadi had been vulnerable for a very long time.”

This is the same Barack Obama who, through his paid liar, Press Secretary Josh Earnest, told us that, actually, the fight against ISIS is a success.

A quick reminder for you:  just 16 months ago, on January 7 of last year, President Obama had this to say about ISIS:

“The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn\’t make them Kobe Bryant.”

Well, since then the “jayvee team” has taken over significant parts of Syria, significant parts of Iraq, and is burgeoning into country after country both in the Middle East and beyond – apparently, with a full network of financing.

If that, in the world of Barack Obama, is “not losing”, would anyone care to hazard a guess at what he calls “winning”?

I award President Obama Quote Of The Day honors for making me wonder whether his current claim about Ramadi is more that he is a liar, more that he is delusional, or a tie between the two…both of which have informed his foreign policy from day one.

Oh, one other thing:  days after Ramadi fell to ISIS, so did the ancient city of Palmyra, Syria – with its priceless historic treasures which now will be destroyed by the ISIS lunatics — when they\’re not beheading the citizenry, that is.

Is that “winning” too, Mr. President?
