CHRAZY CHRIS STRIKES AGAIN

This was either the Quote Of The Day or the latest installment of the Chrazy Chris series.  It was a tough call, but I decided on Chrazy Chris.

From yesterday\’s “Hardball” show, while speaking of the war in Iraq, we have this gem:

“I have a theory. My theory is that WMD had nothing to do with that war. It was a sales piece. The whole idea of WMD, even the phrase WMD, was to conflate a lot of things. It was to suggest nuclear without having to prove it and therefore it made it easier for them to make the threshold argument that they had even a weapon. There was no intelligence they had a weapon. Never was. It was completely made up by Cheney and the rest of the neocons.”

In other words, every report by US intelligence, British intelligence, French, Russian and Israeli intelligence, either did not exist or had no basis in fact.  And every Democrat that Chris Matthews reveres, such as John Kerry, Al Gore, Ted Kennedy…and his most avid love, Hillary Clinton (Hubby Bubba too), cited saddam\’s WMD\’s, they didn\’t know what they were talking about.

Here\’s Hillary\’s quote, from October 10, 2002:

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”

So Matthews, of course, has bitterly attacked Hillary Clinton for being a naive fool.  A dupe of those rascally neocons.  A political parvenu who talks about things she knows nothing of.  Right?

Uh….right?

This one is overripe even for the increasingly ridiculous Chris Matthews.

Not for nothing do I call him Chrazy Chris.
