What if it were President George Bush, and this was a group he blew off as nothing more than a “jayvee squad”?
From Ahmed al-Haj\’s article for the Associated Press, we find out that:
A group claiming to be a Yemeni branch of the Islamic State group says it carried out a string of suicide bombings in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, that killed a total of 137 people and injured 345 others.
The group posted an online statement saying that five suicide bombers carried out what it described as a “blessed operation” against the “dens of the Shiites.” The bombers attacked the Badr and al-Hashoosh mosques, located across town from each other, during midday Friday prayers.
A “blessed operation” that kills 137 people (the total is virtually certain to rise) and injures 345 others. From a radical Islamic force which has taken over enough land to declare its own state.
Asking again: What if it were George Bush?
How loud would the howls from media be about what a dunce he was? What a simpleton he was? What a fool he was? And what a bigmouth he was to make such an imbecilic claim given that, since he said it, ISIS (Oh, excuse me, ISIL) has done nothing but grow into the monstrous force it now is.
But this is not President George Bush. It is, President Barack Obama. So nothing to worry about. Media\’s fawning adulation for will continue unabated. Like like his unbroken string of foreign policy disasters.
Besides, there\’s a simple strategy that will make this disappear. All Mr. Obama has to do is keep hacking away at Israel. Yep, those Israelis are the real enemy, aren\’t they?
Almost two years left to this nightmare administration. I count the seconds.
