THE PARIS TERRORIST ATTACKS: WHERE IS HILLARY CLINTON?

Has anyone seen Hillary Clinton?

She certainly was out there until Islamic terrorists attacked Charlie Hebdo magazine and a kosher supermarket in Paris. But then she magically disappeared from view.

Why has she disappeared?  And why are mainstream media not talking about that disappearance?

John McCormack, writing for weeklystandard.com, thinks he knows the answer.  And it isn\’t very pretty.

A key excerpt:

Clinton\’sspokesman Nick Merrill confirmed in an email to THE WEEKLY STANDARDthat the former secretary of state has not publicly commented on theattack, but Merrill declined to give any particular reason forClinton\’s silence. (She did manage to find the time Friday afternoon, however, to condemn Republicans in Congress for “[a]ttackingfinancial reform.”)

Whatseems most likely is that Clinton has remained silent in response tothe CharlieHebdo massacrein order to avoid scrutiny of her own failure to defend free speechin the face of Islamist violence.

Threedays after the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack killed fourAmericans, including Ambassodor Chris Stevens, in Benghazi, Libya,Clinton attended a ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base welcoming homethe remains of the slain Americans. While flanked by four flag-drapedcaskets, Clinton blamed an “awfulinternet video that we had nothing to do with” for the “rageand violence directed at American embassies.” Clinton did not,in the course of her speech, defend the right to free speech.

Tell me:  if it were a Republican presidential aspirant who went missing rather than say a word about these attacks, would mainstream media notice?  Would they talk about it?  Would they speculate on why?  Would they seek that aspirant out and ask – maybe demand – answers?

If that same Republican presidential aspirant had performed as Hillary Clinton did after Benghazi, would mainstream media have given him/her the free pass they gave Ms. Clinton?

We both know the answer.

It is clear that the unconditional love affair between media and Clinton lives on.  In their eyes she can do no wrong, no matter how much wrong she does.  And they don\’t seem to know that it makes them look like pathetic, partisan lapdogs.  Or maybe they are so enraptured by Ms. Cinton that they just don\’t care.

I have written numbers of times that, for a variety of reasons – one of them being her health and the rigors of a presidential campaign – I consider it no better than 50-50 whether Hillary Clinton will run for President in 2016.  But I\’m sure it is nice for her to know that, no matter what she does, our wonderful “neutral” media have her back.
