The violence and anarchy continue. So does the media malfeasance.
In Oakland, “protesters” (I put that in quotes because “anarchists”, “rioters”, “looters”, “vandals” and a host of other words fit every bit as well).
From Evan Sernoffksy\’s article in the San Francisco Chronicle:
Undeterredby chilly weather or the Christmas holiday, dozens of antipolicedemonstrators marched through downtown Oakland on Thursday evening -some smashing windows of businesses in Jack London Square, throwingbottles, and even tearing ornaments and lights from a large Christmastree – in the latest round of protests against what they see aspolice violence toward minorities.
Notice how the article refers to this as a “protest” for racial justice? Can someone explain to me how vandalizing stores and generally breaking things makes a point about racial justice, or anything other than the fact that it was an opportunity for anarchists, rioters, looters and vandals to ply their trades?
And so it goes. Every day we are seeing “protests” just like this one – usually in cities with entrenched Democrat machines in power, who are too fearful of a racial backlash and/or too sympathetic with the anarchists, rioters, looters and vandals (think New York City, for one) to do a thing about it.
Tell me: what would these same media, and what would these same politicians be saying if they could pin any of this on the tea party movement?
Would you care to compare what they have condemned the tea party movement for to what they have barely, if at all, written/spoken negatively about when it comes to “protesters” behaving this way in the name of racial justice?
Do you think any of this is bringing us together? Do you think any of this is creating better relations between Black and White citizens?
My final question: Do you think it is just possible that these people are intentionally trying to create racial hatred instead of heal it? Before answering, judge them by their actions and think about what results those actions are most likely to yield.
Then wonder along with me why you have not seen that question – that obvious question – asked in mainstream media.
