WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF “PROPORTIONAL RESPONSE”?

Well, it took over a week, but we finally have a reaction from President Obama to North Korea\’s blatant – and successful – attempt to censor free speech in the United States.

Excerpted from Dave Boyer\’s article at washingtontimes.com:

TheWhite House vowed a “proportional” response Thursday to NorthKorea\’s suspected hacking of Sony Pictures, as lawmakers pledged tobeef up the nation\’s cybersecurity defenses and blamed the Obamaadministration for failing to get tough with state-sponsored hackers.

Administrationofficials said President Obama\’s national security team isconsidering a range of options to retaliate against those responsiblefor the cyberattack on the movie studio, which canceled the releaseof the $42 million film “The Interview” under threat of Sept.11-style violence at theaters.

Can someone tell me what this means?  What a “proportional response” is?

Or – as I would bet money – this is right down there with the “reset” of relations with Russia, the “red line” in Syria, the deal that supposedly prevented Iran from continuing its nuclear program, and every other example of meaningless, toothless verbal vomit which the rest of the world, very much including the people they are aimed at, knows to be nothing more than words without any action to back it up?

The deranged head of a cesspool government in a destitute country successfully abridges our freedom of speech and assembly, while threatening another 9/11.  And days after that threat is made, this how the President of the United States responds?

Jimmy Carter would have done better.  That says it all.

I count the seconds until the Obama nightmare is over.
